We built this extractor because pulling an audio track out of a video is a five-line operation — your browser can do it natively, on your device, with zero risk. Music, podcasts, interviews, lecture recordings: the audio comes out clean, with no re-encoding round-trips through a server.

How it works: 1) Drop your video file (MP4, WebM, MOV, MKV — anything your browser can decode). 2) Choose MP3 for a compact file (~192 kbps) or lossless WAV for perfect fidelity. 3) Click Extract — the audio track is decoded and encoded locally, and your file downloads in seconds. The video stream is never touched.

Decoding uses your browser's built-in audio pipeline (Web Audio / WebCodecs), which is the same hardware-accelerated path used for playback — so even hour-long videos extract quickly on a normal laptop.
